Due to continued growth, the Utility and Industrial Division of our Energy Group is seeking aConstruction Oversight Specialistfor a short-term project. This is aremoteposition.Responsibilities (including but are not limited to)* Prepare and perform detailed review of calculations * Perform reviews, assemble and prepare design modification packages * Develop specifications of structural components * Develop and review engineering drawings for compliance with design and constructability * Perform site walk down to identify design solutions and develop cost-effective problem resolutions * Develop detailed finite element models of structural systems; and perform static equivalent and dynamic analysis of structuresRequired Qualifications/ skills* B.S. in civil engineering from an accredited university and 8 years experience in civil engineering with a structural and construction oversight emphasis OR appropriate industry-recognized licenses or certification indicating achievement in engineering and 10 years of applicable experience. * Prior experience in the design of steel and concrete foundations and frame structures * Demonstrated proficiency in preparation of civil calculations * Broad knowledge of industry and regulatory standards pertaining to the power industry a plus * Proficient in Word and Excel * Proficient in at least one general purpose structural analysis computer code (e. g. GTStrudl, STAAD, ANSYS) * Good writing, presentation, and communication skills * Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams * Familiar with concrete and steel design codes and with working stress and ultimate strength design approaches * Familiar with the International Building code and building code design * Willing to travel 15%-25% to a plant site for meetings and/or assignments. Assignments vary based on project and client needs, ranging from a few weeks to several monthsPreferred Qualifications/skills* Experience with nuclear power is preferred * PE License or Willingness to obtain PEEmployment RequirementAbility to pass a pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screenings, ENERCON and client specific background checks, and annual motor vehicle record (MVR) according to company and client policiesMust be legally eligible to work in the US without current or future sponsorshipThis job posting is subject to change at any time.
