Job Description

The Construction Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating construction projects within the maritime and marine engineering sector. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and project management capabilities to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Construction Manager will work closely with various stakeholders, including engineers, architects, subcontractors, and clients, to facilitate effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee all phases of construction projects from inception to completion.
  2. Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  3. Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other professionals to ensure project specifications are met.
  4. Manage subcontractors and construction teams to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  5. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and address any issues that arise.
  6. Prepare and present project updates to stakeholders and clients.
  7. Ensure quality control throughout the construction process.
  8. Resolve conflicts and negotiate contracts with vendors and subcontractors.
  9. Maintain accurate project documentation and reports.
  10. Implement best practices for project management and construction methodologies.
Preferred Candidate:
  1. Proven experience in construction management, particularly in maritime or marine engineering projects.
  2. Strong leadership and team management skills.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  4. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  5. Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
  6. Proficient in project management software and tools.
  7. Strong understanding of construction safety regulations.
  8. Ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
  9. Experience in budget management and cost control.
  10. Willingness to travel to various project sites as needed.
