This includes anything from briefing the press on the latest F&B trends, to sharing stories about Kitopians to raising awareness about our CSR efforts. We?re a fast-growing, energetic team with a passion for storytelling and creating regional campaigns with a global reach.Reporting to the Director of Communications and Corporate Brand, the Communications Manager will help us tell the Kitopi story in the EMEA region. You will have the scope to manage a team of creatives and project managers, and work cross-functionally with marketing, growth, legal, etc.You must be comfortable with building and executing large-scale campaigns, be able to measure their reach, engagement, and visibility, and report on these in a consistent manner, as required by the business. In addition to this, the Communications Manager will also look after internal communications, and prepare and execute an internal communications strategy, working closely with the global and local People teams.Part of this will also be to support the social media team in reviewing content that goes out on Instagram and working on a strategy. Staying on top of social media trends will be key to success in this role.You will be adept at working directly with journalists, liaising with agency partners, managing media inquiries, and staying on top of all event coordination internally and externally - as well as external award lists.We?re looking for a passionate, articulate, and savvy communicator who can work under pressure within tight deadlines.What Youll Do

  • Create original content and communication materials for internal and external use, including, but not limited to company announcements, press releases, thought leadership, and social media posts
  • Create and execute internal events with KPIs
  • Create a network of speakers for Kitopi
  • Provides trusted comms counsel to in-market stakeholders, i.e. Country Managers, Marketing teams, Brand Owners, etc.
  • Work autonomously with minimal managerial oversight but knows the right time to check in

Competency, Skills and AttributesCreative and strategic thinkerExcellent writer and communicator, with the ability to create tailored content for a variety of audiencesGood problem solver and comfortable operating in ambiguous situations, remaining optimistic and positive in difficult situationsSkilled at media relations with excellent and well-maintained media contacts and an eye for what makes a compelling storyPossesses a strong understanding of EMEA cultural trends and pop culture and has experience working with industry partners to build effective campaignsCalm and effective in a crisis and able to change directions and adapt plans at late noticeExperience across all comms verticals (internal/external), consumer, corporate, events and social media in order to develop integrated cross-functional comms strategiesUnderstanding of employer branding and culture initiatives, to help drive the culture at KitopiUnderstanding local business needs as well as global communications priorities and owning a proactive communications plan and strategy for the EMEA region, with monthly KPIsStrong ability to work and influence teams cross-functionally, integrating comms plans seamlessly with other departments and functions, such as (and not limited to) marketing, policy, and legal, and maintaining a diplomatic and considered approach to the wider business objectivesRequirementsUniversity educated + 5 or more years of experience in communications or a related fieldExcellent writing and strong verbal communication skills A passion for Kitopi and the mission of the company Experience working on projects in a fast-paced environmentExtensive knowledge of social media and Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
