Assist Qualified Person (Supervision) in daily supervision and coordination duties
Attend site meetings and resolve technical issues with Contractors
Liaise with the Engineering Manager and the Project Technical Specialists on the review and approval of design submissions including calculations and drawings
Define inspection and special testing requirements and ensure coordination of those efforts on all contracts
Ensure inspection documentation fully complies with the local Authorities? requirements
This position entails all typical duties of a resident engineer with an inspection / office engineering staff.
Plans, organizes, and supervises resident engineering and construction inspection activities for major transit projects.
Serve as the senior site representative for the inspection of contractor construction activities, payments, processing and negotiation of claims and change orders, supervise all staff of personnel consisting of engineers, inspectors, project control, office engineers, project administrators, and specialty sub-consultants.
Leads progress meetings and interacts with client on a daily basis.
Coordinates responses to RFI?s and other technical issues with design engineers, ability to interpret construction plans, specifications, and contracts
