Job Description

How we make the difference: Aggreko is investing in the centralised logistics Procurement team.This exciting new role will develop and execute a category strategy and work with functional stakeholders across Aggreko?s geographies.You will be joining a collaborative team that is mostly remote based and provides flexible working with the occasional trip to meet stakeholders and supply partners.As this role is new, you will be able to make a real difference and be part of implementing change of how we do things as an organisation, addressing this key strategic category spend.Sound like you?   • Proven track record of delivering savings from sourcing activity
  • Operational effectiveness
  • Organisational awareness, strategic thinking and managing of complex procurement projects and engagements
  • Communication, managing self & relationships with others (virtual working), team working and cooperation, influencing senior levels of the organisation, personal effectiveness, analytical thinking, sound judgement, creativity & innovation.
  • Negotiate to maximise value & proven excellence in negotiation and contracting
  • An entrepreneurial mindset combined with the ability to take an initiative, work independently and drive implementation
  • Affinity & adaptability to working with colleagues, stakeholders, and supply partners in different cultures across the various global regions to ensure adequate success
We?re Experts. You will have the following experience:
  • Demonstrable experience in a logistics procurement role, preferably within a multi-national FTSE 250 or Fortune 500 organisation with experience in a similar category manager role
  • Demonstrable detailed understand of key suppliers and supply market dynamics of the category to be managed
  • Extensive experience of developing and implementing global category strategies
  • Experienced in working with suppliers globally whilst understanding regional differences which may require different approaches
  • Advanced experience of complex Master Services Logistics Agreements, Standard Operating Procedures, contract compliance, risk evaluation and assessment
  • Good understanding of outsourced logistics solutions
