Our Category Manager - Digitial Services position provides an excellent opportunity for candidates with a background in procurement and buying, or those looking to grow their overall IT/Tech Category Management experience, to develop their skills across the end to end Procurement Process and develop a career as a Category Manager within the media sector.Client DetailsOur client is a leading private media company in the Middle East & North Africa region with their corporate HQ based in Dubai.DescriptionBe responsible for procuring high value/risk goods, IT solutions & services to enable service delivery to the councils customers and to achieve the councils strategic digital transformation and procurement objectives.Key Responsibilities will include:Delivering tangible commercial benefit through negotiation and efficienciesDelivering a support to the Vendor Management team within the Business Change & Technology departmentLeading Procurement processes, often with cross departmental stakeholdersEnsuring best practice processes are followed and commercial rigor is appliedAnalyse category and review supply marketSupport development of sourcing wave strategyProvide spend data analysisCreate initial supply market assessment including:Support Category Manager in development of Sourcing StrategyEstablish and execute e-sourcing events including:Receive and validate e-sourcing requestsRecommend auction strategies to category managers based on suppliers history/behaviourProfileDemonstrate a significant track record of procurement experience and have experience or working in a fast pace, diverse environment.Its essential that you have UAE experience in IT procurement, such as hardware, software (dealing with large vendors such as SAP or Oracle), licenses, professional services, coupled with a sound working knowledge of agreements and service levels.
