Job PurposeResponsible for developing and implementing all national and international policies and regulations from security, customs and other regulatory programs. Monitor levels of operational activity against regulatory and industry affairs highlighting areas of non-compliance and recommend opportunities for improvement. The jobholder will also be required to deal, negotiate, agree and develop SOPs meeting regulatory requirements without compromising SkyCargos commercial interest with UAE regulatory bodies.Job Outline:- Manage the regulatory and industry affairs with all UAE authorities, including GCAA, DCAA, customs, security, Ministry of Environment and Climate change, Ministry of Defence, FANR etc.- Consult with Government officials to negotiate the interpretation, application and administrative feasibility of proposed security, customs and dangerous goods legislation and regulatory amendments- Research and Interpret regulations in order to provide a high level of expertise & develop standards, directives and guidelines on carrier compliance to Customs, Security, Dangerous Goods and other regulations worldwide.- Anticipate emerging compliance regulations and trends, establishing compliance standards, design improvements to internal control structures, establish critical metrics and minimize the impact of changing regulations- Manage the validation and implementation of corporate standards for customs, security and other regulatory frameoworks within SkyCargo. Ensure that the network are informed clearly and timely of the new and updated regulatory requirements in accordance with our quality and conformance framework and safety, security and regulatory requirements.- Evaluate all systems enhancements/changes requests from the network for impact to current processes and ensure compliance with all safety, security and regulatory requirements.- Support the Manager, Standards & Operational Safety with preparatory work for regulatory audits, certification and re-certification. Evaluate Audit findings and work closely with Cargo conformance manager to document and implement CAPA.- Evaluate Skycargo Mandatory Operational training syllabus and training programs (+25/year) with EAC periodically in coordination with the subject matter experts to ensure alignment and compliance with regulatory requirements.- Support the Manager, Standards & Operational Safety in the conducting of risk assessments affected by or affecting a regulatory change requirement. In the absence of MSOS, act as a single point of contact and execute all delegated tasks. Manage all projects assigned by MSOS.- Manage the Cargo Regulatory Affairs Manager - Americas and the Cargo Compliance Manager Hong Kong and provide strategic leadership and direction.Qualifications & ExperienceLogistics/Cargo.Air Cargo : 5+ Years Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) : Experience in the airline industry preferably in a cargo/logistics environment.Knowledge/skills: Thorough knowledge and understanding of Local, international, ICAO, IATA regulations.
