The job holder will be responsible for the continuous & overall development of the Brand by developing a strategic buying plan for specific product categories in line with the merchandising philosophy of quality, design, price, and brand.?Establish buying strategies and seasonal assortment plans to maximize the development of the product category.?Develop business relationships with suppliers to ensure smooth buying operations through vendor identification, evaluation, and selection?Liaise with internal departments for the planning of sales, visual displays, margins, mark-ups, discounts, promotions, events, and advertisement.?Analyze the product category and monitor sales including regional merchandise reports, Open-to-Buy, and periodic stock analysis.?Identify and strategize sales of slow-moving & ageing product lines.?Forecast sales by evaluating financial information, current trends and anticipated market changes that impact buying decisions.?Analyze and report sales trends for recommendations on assortment and pricing strategies?Communicate product strategies to the Retail Operations team and conduct product training ?Responsible & accountable for target P&L of the product category?Keep up with the trends in the retail home fashion industry by participating in trade shows, events, fairs and exhibitions
