Aspire MENA are looking for a AWS Architect (Linux) to join one of their global clients in Dubai, who will be responsible for the operational support maintenance of their cloud platform. The Linux Operations Engineer ensures maximum uptime of private and public clouds. He or she is also part of the escalation, issue triage and technical support processes. He or she will assist with prioritization of technical issues, escalations to engineering team, and coordinating resolutions.Responsibilities and Duties:- Minimum 5 years proven work experience as a Linux Engineer, Technical Support Engineer or similar in a Linux production environment- Expert level experience with server-level operating systems Unix/ Linux, facilitating high-level engineering- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical issues- Identifying opportunities that can improve efficiency of operations and IT processes- Responsible for monitoring, supporting and administering production environment with initial onboarding, upgrades and recovery- Understanding of distributed storage systems such as CEPH, EMC ECS, HDFS and protocols like FC, iSCSI, NFS, CIFS, etc.- Support our 24/7/365- You are knowledgeable of networks, routers, switches, firewalls with and deep understanding TCP/ IP stack- Knowledge and experience of OpenStack production design, operations and troubleshooting- Experience with shell, Python, etc.- Experience with automation/ configuration management using either Puppet, Chef or Ansible- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or relevant field
