Job Description

One of our clients based in Dubai are looking to recruit?Audit Quality Control Reviewer?.Purpose:As part of the Audit quality control function, you would help our financial audit teams meet their reporting requirements by performing independent quality reviews on our audits prior to being signed.Responsibilities:The engagement quality control reviewer will be responsible to review and document conclusions in relation to

  • Planning process including the engagement leader?s assessment that the engagement team collectively has the competencies, resources, and time necessary to perform the assurance engagement
  • Engagement teams? compliance with Independence requirements in relation to the audit engagement at the beginning and throughout the engagement, as well as the documentation of identified threats to the relevant ethical requirements, including independence, and the appropriateness of safeguards applied
  • Judgments made by the engagement team, particularly regarding materiality and significant risks
  • Engagement team?s analysis of significant risks arising from the understanding of the entity and its environment, the nature of the assurance engagement and the risks of fraud and error; and the adequacy of the audit strategy and planned responses
  • Sufficiency and appropriateness of documentation of work performed by the engagement team
  • Audit documentation of significant audit matters on accounting and disclosure requirements, compliance with laws and regulations, significant judgments/ consultations on contentious matters by the engagement team and the conclusions it reached
  • Audit conclusions reached in formulating the auditor?s report and consideration of whether the proposed auditor?s report is appropriate. (E.g., whether qualified opinion was appropriate or adverse was required etc.)
