The Logistics and Storage Associate will support the Logistics Programme Management workstream, and support the Senior Manager for Logistics and Storage to ensure that Expo 2020 Logistics Function operates seamlessly with employee development and training, systems development, communication tools and general project management methodologies.The main resoponsibilities for this role include:- To support the Event Operations Logistics Function, to ensure that Expo 2020 Logistics Function operates seamlessly with contacts management, employee development and training, systems development, communication tools and general project management methodologies;?- Assist and liaise with the other Logistics workstreams (i.e. Customs & Freight Forwarding, Material Management, Warehousing, Distribution, Venue Logistics, Programme Management) with their requirements to support an efficient and economical end-to-end Logistics operation;?- Assist and support in defining the short-term goals and objectives for the Logistics Programme Management workstream and agree this with the Senior Manager of Logistics & Storage;?- Assist and support in the continual improvement of Expo 2020 Logistics processes, policies and procedures;- Assist and support in the management of the Logistics Operations Centres;?- Assist and support in Logistics ad-hoc work orders supporting the Distribution workstream to ensure that dispatch from the warehouses is conducted in a timely and cost efficient manner;?- Via training and communication, develop tools, briefings, training and engagement opportunities to communicate to the Logistics Function, as well as relatable material to external stakeholders, including consultants, advisors and Participants;?- Ensure continual and up to date adherence to policies and procedures and frameworks;- Provide timely (i.e. daily, weekly and cumulative) reporting;?- Assist with the planning and execution of the post-Expo 2020 recovery of all assets and ensure compliance with re-export procedures at the conclusion of the Expo.
