Job Description

Our client is a semi-government entity who are looking to recruit a Legal Associate for a newly created role. You will be required to support our client with its compliance and licensing requirements, AML obligations and risk management responsibilities. Also, to support our client to ensure adherence to relevant financial services legislations, as well as applicable laws in applicable jurisdictions. This role will require you to work effectively with the business units to always balance legal requirements with business needs and mitigating risk and protecting the interests of the organization. You will need to be fluent (written and spoken) in Arabic and English and have an appropriate law degree. This company offers excellent benefits.?Description:

  • Advise our client and their various business units on corporate and commercial law, labor law, contractual and strategic transactions, public exposures and identify associated risks
  • Draft, review and negotiate legal documents (including but not limited to, agreements, forms, and insurance documents) to achieve commercial objectives and mitigate risk
  • Coordinate with external counsel on various projects
  • Draft standard agreements
  • Review and benchmark foreign and local rules and regulations and propose amendments and changes
  • Draft, review and update the legal department?s policies and procedures
  • Ensure expert, timely, high quality legal advice is provided to the business referring to relevant laws to meet business needs
