ASSOCIATE - INVESTMENTS OPERATIONAL CONSULTING

The job holder will work as part of a team partnering with and supporting the current Dubai-based Head of Operational Consulting. This role is based in our Dubai, DIFC office supporting our diverse group of client requirements across the Middle East, India and Africa. The job holder is expected to be groomed over time to potentially lead the Operational Consulting Group function in the region. Key duties will include the following:? Working as an integral part of a senior team participating in and managing Operational Consulting projects? Acting as the right hand person to the Head of the Operational Consulting Group? Driving new business opportunities and revenue generation? Enhancing marketing materials and value proposition? Creating and contributing to RfP s? Leading Operational Due Diligence reviews and Operational Consulting projects? Providing specialist recommendations to clients in written reports and presentation-style deliverables? Advising institutional clients on relevant global operational best practice standards? Working with other Mercer Lines of Business to deliver specialist investment operations advice as part of project delivery? Raising the profile of the Operational Consulting Group in the region by collaborating with the media and contributing to thought leadership, as well as Mercer s overall intellectual capital? Representing Mercer at a senior level at industry forums and events? Responding to queries from clients and consultants? Contributing to manager and/or specialist research projects? Driving ad hoc projects, as requiredThe role requires potentially extensive regional and global travel and extended periods away from the office. Applicants should be willing to commit to such requirement.Qualifications, Skills & ExperienceThe following skills, experience and qualifications are required for this role:? Strong academic qualifications and a university level education are essential? Professional qualifications (ACA, ACCA, CFA, or equivalent) and project management qualifications are highly desirable? In depth, specialist knowledge of asset management operations is essential? Demonstrable record of previous operational consulting projects and advising institutional clients is highly desirable? Minimum 5 years experience in investment management operations? Previous experience conducting Operational Due Diligence and/or Investment Due Diligence? Extensive project management skills with demonstrable experience in change management, organizational/process enhancement and re-engineering? Advanced report writing skills and excellent written and oral command of English? Demonstrates outstanding presentation skills? Takes ownership for own work, always ensuring standards and deadlines are met and keeping others informed and up-to-date? Experience and being comfortable dealing with senior executives, both at the client and asset manager level? Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Advanced PowerPoint skills are highly desirable? Works well under pressure, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks? Is culturally understanding and promotes principles of diversity and inclusion? Excellent organizational and time management skills? Openly shares information and own expertise with colleagues?
