Associate Dispute Resolution Group Arabic Speaker (Dubai)Job purposeThe firm's renowned dispute resolution ability means that we are well-equipped to handle litigation and transactional work with ease. Most of the projects are on a large scale and have high profile within the local and international market.The litigation practice is growing and we are looking to hire a junior disputes lawyer to assist the group's partners with general commercial litigation matters.Job requirementsThe main responsibilities of the role are:; to manage own case load of commercial litigation matters;; to research, draft and prepare documents as prescribed in order to efficiently progress matters forward;; to work as part of a regional disputes team and support partners and senior associates where necessary; and; to take part in and lead business development and marketing activities as and when is necessary.Candidate requirements:We are interested in candidates with:; a minimum of a 2:1 from a reputable university or equivalent;; 1-3 years' post qualified experience in Commercial Litigation (International Arbitration experience will be well regarded);; training gained with a well-regarded law firm;; excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Arabic and English;; excellent communication skills, a willingness to fully participate in Business Development and overall a 'can do' attitude; and; a genuine interest in a building a career with us in the Middle East.We also require applicants who possess the following attributes:Technical Experience; Effectively applies legal principles to a range of complex problems; Drafts structurally consistent and clear legal documents; Actively develops sector legal knowledge; Identifies opportunities for knowledge sharing; Drafts articles and publications; Organised and structured approach to tasks to ensure matter are progressedPeople and Team; Proactively and willingly supports team members; Responds positively to changing working environments; Awareness of own development needs and seeks solutionsPersonal Effectiveness; Ability to manage own case load; Confidence and enthusiasm in interactions through a range of communication methodsDescription of the work groupOur Middle East regional office has developed a "market-leading reputation" for dispute resolution.
