The Associate Director IP is allocated a group of countries and will take them through the process of participation, from signing them up to completing both BIE and Expo 2020 Dubai obligations and operational steps.? The Associate Director IP will be involved in country participation at Expo from the time of their confirmation to the time of their decommissioning, following the closure of Expo 2020 Dubai. Additionally, Associate Director IP will manage relations with key stakeholders that influence countries and support Expo and delivering the international participants.The main responsibilities of this role will include:- The comprehensive management of relations with designated participant countries in Asia and the Pacific region or where management requires;- Conducting in-depth research on participant countries under their mandate and ensuring that pavilions have strong and meaningful content;- Alerting CIPO on any/all political or sensitive matters (technical or non-technical) that arise, for senior management guidance and action, as necessary;?- Identifying opportunities in participant countries that would contribute to the UAE?s international relations and global positioning;- Promoting the use of and utilizing Expo 2020 Dubai?s ?one-stop shop? system, which will allow a smooth process for countries? participation;?- Reporting technical and operational progress to Senior Management, who will provide guidance on how to move the operational discussion along at any particular moment;?- Utilizing the CRM tool and recording daily interactions with each country on the system.? The CRM will generate reports to CIPO weekly and will be the basis upon which analysis and strategy is conducted and decisions are made;?- Serving as a focal point for Expo2020 to key external stakeholders that have direct impact on international participants, primarily the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ministry of Economy, DCCI, and other relevant authorities;?- Identifying opportunities for cooperation with external stakeholders to promote Expo2020 and its programmes on a national, regional and global level;?- Assuming Expo Liaison related functions, which include consolidating relevant feedback from Liaisons and presenting them to Senior Management.
