The opportunityProject: We are hiring an ambitious and forward-thinking candidate to join our established and growing team in UAE. Your responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring strategic delivery of the core function aligns with Mace Way and Core Values.
• Supporting the development of technologies/systems to enhance design performance.
• Managing resources and deployment of DM staff.
• Ensuring ongoing knowledge and upskilling of the team.
• Directing and guiding junior members of staff to develop their careers within Mace.
• Ensuring succession planning for allocated ADM/DM/SDM is in place.
• Ensuring design management is consistent across projects, or phases.
• Ensuring design management function is aligned with other PMC functional targets.
• Advising on consultant selection and appointment.
• Supporting SDMs in the evaluation of consultant variations and claims.
• Participating in key design and technical review workshops.
• Utilizing company resources efficiently to accomplish assigned work.
• Identifying and managing design-associated risks, mitigation strategies, and/or escalation.
• Identifying the need for additional resources and recommendations.
• Identifying opportunities for further staff deployment, or additional Mace specialist resources that can add value and increase Mace in the project.

About youYou have a bachelors in architecture and relevant sector-specific knowledge, including industry standards and terms of reference, you have direct DM experience in large complex, multi-phase project(s) programme, masterplans, you have knowledge of RIBA, or other international Plans of Work, and alignment with WBS and have experience of BIM and BIMM requirements over project lifecycle and WBS. You are digitally savvy, can build lasting client relationships, and lead strong, motivated teams. You will have a construction or cost consultancy or project management background and be hungry to grow your career and enjoy the opportunities Mace has to offer.
