Job Description

The Role:The function of theassistant manager - Showroomis to support the Manager-Showroomin the daily operations of the retail store. This roleis to supervise employees,workwith customers and help carry out the directives of themanager to make sure the showroom runs smoothly and effectively. Key Focus Areas:

  • Work on achieving sales target by efficiently managing the team.
  • Train the team continuously on products and service standards.
  • Overlook the product arrangement, product positioning and mini store arrangement and focus on the product lifecycle.
  • Attending to the inventory control with the coordination of the management in order to identify the products easily, arranging them in a suitable way, while ensuring an optimum level of stock in all sections.
  • Work closely with the operations / showroom manager to schedule team roster/s.
  • Motivating and also closely monitoring the team members and focusing on continuously increasing the team productivity.
  • Establish and maintain of a pleasant and professional relationship with all customers, suppliers and other stake holders.
  • Establish a direct line of communication to hear the grievances of customers, staff and address them immediately and amicably.
  • To establish a robust system of constant Market intelligence in the allotted areain respect of competition.
  • Coordinate with Marketing Department for localize promotion activities.
  • Take necessary action to control the overheads (operational expenses) within the given budget
  • Planning skills especially in terms of forecasting sales and expenses
  • Consult Merchandising coordinating team and the fashion buying team with regard to slow moving / nonmoving items in the showroom and take remedial action to clear the stock. (Internal transfers / discount etc.)
