They are looking to expand their workforce by hiring an Assistant Controller / Controller in UAE (based in Dubai).Client DetailsThe organisation is a well renowned oil and maritime corporation with more than 500 employees spanning across multiple countries in 4 continents. Their last recorded revenue was over 2 billion USD which is equivalent to more than 5 million tonnes of oil products distributed.DescriptionAs their new Assistant Controller / Controller, you will be part of a skilled team consisting of eleven colleagues of both Accountants and Controllers. The team attend to a broad variety of tasks. You will be strongly involved in various activities across the group, which will give you the opportunity to build a strong network globally and will report directly to Head of Finance MEA.Your main responsibility will be financial controlling and it is important that you thrive in an ambitious environment, know the importance of meeting your deadlines and value close dialogues with your colleagues. The responsibilities include:ú Conduct controlling and reviewingú Monthly and annual closing of numbersú Participate in cross functional projects.ú Assist strong key stakeholder managementú Estimate as per the required timeline.ú Preparation of Forecast and Budgets.ú Data and cost controlling.ú Ensuring legal and regulatory financial compliancesú Audit co-ordination and finalisationú Tax controlling including VAT fillingsú Derivative as well as contract management (financial contracts) controllingProfileú Relevant financial education or similar position and/or as an auditorú At least 3 years of experience in a relevant positionú CPA qualification is mandatoryú Experience from the oil and shipping industry is preferredú Proficient user of Microsoft Office.ú Fluent in both written and verbal Englishú Structured and detail orientedú Strong analytical mind-setú Pragmatic with a practical approachú Strong communicator at all organisational levelsJob OfferThe successful candidate for this role will be offered a monthly competitive salary.
