The invites applications for one Full-time Faculty holding a Ph.D. with a specialization inMathematics. Applicants must hold an earnedPh.D. in Mathematics, with preference in Applied and Computational Mathematics. The successful applicant is expected to conduct research on areas of applied mathematics, computational mathematics, data science, and/or mathematical modeling. He / She is expected to develop a balanced portfolio of teaching, course development, advising, and scholarly work. Candidates applying for the position should have a distinguished track record in research and capability to publish in appropriate high-quality journals, disseminate research at conferences and colloquia, provide quality teaching and mentoring in our undergraduate and graduate programs, and participate in appropriate professional service The candidate must have a strong understanding of the purpose and goals of the university and espouse them in the performance of their responsibilities which include; * Performing community outreach activities.* Serving as an ambassador to the Canadian University Dubai by promoting the institution when engaged in professional duties off campus.* Teaching assigned classes; maintaining adequate records of progress and evaluation for all students.* Preparing syllabi in conjunction with the Program Chair.* Assisting the Chair in evaluating course objectives and sequencing.* Supervising, teaching and/or administering independent studies.* Keeping up-to-date on developments in ones discipline through participation in professional associations.* Advising students during the registration periods.Required Qualifications* Completed Ph.D. from an accredited university with a specialization in Mathematics.* Minimum of college-level teaching experience.* Utilizes innovative teaching strategies.* Demonstrated research agenda in the area of expertise.* Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse student population.* Contacts with industry leaders and ability to expand university-industry partnerships.* Evidence of experience with course development.* Must have Canadian affiliation.Please note:Preference will be given to candidates with Canadian citizenship or Canadian permanent residency and Canadian qualifications.Additional Benefits* Competitive income tax free salary is offered with housing, transportation and furniture allowance.
