Job Summary:We are searching for a highly skilled and imaginative Architect/Interior Designer with aminimum of 5 years of experience, including at least 2 years in the UAE. The ideal candidate will possessa strong flair for contemporary, funky designs and a deep understanding of both European (particularlyFrench-inspired) and local UAE design aesthetics. This role demands a keen eye for detail, a robust graspof local industry practices, municipality regulations, and building codes, as well as the ability toseamlessly integrate international and local design influences.Role Responsibilities & Tasks:• Design Development: Conceptualize and develop unique design solutions for a variety ofconstruction projects, including residential, commercial, and public buildings. Emphasize a blendof contemporary, funky styles with a European, particularly French-inspired aesthetic whileensuring alignment with local UAE design preferences.• Client Collaboration: Engage with clients to grasp their vision, preferences, and needs.Transform these into practical, functional, and visually appealing designs that reflect bothinternational design trends and local cultural nuances.• Detailed Planning: Utilize advanced CAD software to create comprehensive architectural andinterior design plans. Ensure designs are detailed, accurate, and executable within the localcontext.• Project Coordination: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and construction teamsto ensure design feasibility, proper implementation, and adherence to local building codes andregulations.• Material & Finish Selection: Choose and specify appropriate materials, finishes, and furnishingsthat align with the design vision. Incorporate high-quality, locally sourced materials whereapplicable to enhance both aesthetic and functional outcomes.• Interior Decoration Oversight: Supervise the interior decoration process to ensure that the finaloutput meets the design standards and is completed within the set timeframe.• Trend Monitoring: Stay abreast of the latest trends and innovations in both European (Frenchinspired) and UAE architecture and interior design. Implement contemporary design practiceswhile respecting local traditions and preferences.Required Skills:• Design Proficiency: Advanced skills in CAD software and other design tools. Ability to blendEuropean, particularly French-inspired design elements with contemporary and local styles.• Creativity & Detail Orientation: Exceptional creativity with a strong eye for detail and a passionfor innovative design solutions.• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively presentdesign ideas and collaborate with clients, team members, and stakeholders.• Collaboration: Proven ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams, including clients,project managers, engineers, and construction professionals.• Local Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and industrystandards in the UAE. Experience integrating international design standards with localrequirements.• Project Management: Strong time management and project management skills, with the abilityto oversee multiple projects simultaneously and ensure they are completed on time and withinbudget.Required Education & Experience:• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design from a recognized institution.• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in architectural or interior designroles. At least 2 years of experience working in the UAE, with a proven track record of successfulproject execution.• Portfolio: A well-rounded portfolio showcasing experience with European (French-inspired)design elements and innovative, funky projects.
