Job Description

Job Summary:As an Ornamental Fish Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, advising customers on various species of ornamental fish, and assisting in the sales process. You will ensure that the fish and aquatic environments in the store are well-maintained and healthy.Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers and assess their needs regarding ornamental fish and aquatic supplies.
  • Provide knowledgeable advice on fish care, tank setup, and maintenance.
  • Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, including fish tanks and surrounding areas.
  • Monitor the health and well-being of all fish and aquatic animals in stock.
  • Assist customers with product selection and answer any questions they may have.
  • Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Manage inventory levels and assist in restocking merchandise as needed.
  • Work with team members to create an inviting shopping experience.
  • Stay informed about new products, fish species, and trends in the aquarium hobby.
Qualifications:
  • Passion for fishkeeping and knowledge of various ornamental fish species.
  • Previous experience in retail sales or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
  • Basic understanding of aquarium maintenance and water quality.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and move items, including fish tanks and supplies, as needed.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
