Job Description

WSP is looking for an experienced, strategically minded, and results-driven Advisory Director - Environment and sustainability with regional and international experience. the successful candidate will be accountable for the strategic leadership, direction, operational performance, and people leadership of the business unit. will be a key player on the Middle East Strategic Leadership Team in driving the development of the business and the Middle East Discipline Leadership Team in driving the performance of the business. he will also be responsible for the Project Director role for selected multi and single-disciplinary projects across WSP in the ME. The role holder must take a ?hands-on? approach to all aspects of the role.The focus in this position is split between, but not limited to, four key areas;Business Leadership

  • Provide leadership and support for the E&S business unit across the Middle East region
  • Ensure that Health & Safety is embedded into all work practices in line with company policies˙
  • Contribute to the delivery of WSP?s overall business budgets and forecasts
  • Setting and delivering profit & loss business unit budget and forecasts.˙
Business Development
  • Lead or support selected region, country or sector to support the business in keeping up to date on the market status and maximising opportunities for WSP˙
  • Proactively support business development activities through participation in external market profile raising activities and functions˙
  • Actively develop external and internal client relationships and proactively co-sell other WSP services and where applicable the wider business.˙
Project Leadership
  • To act as project director on selected projects by leading and managing the successful delivery of high-quality multi and single-disciplinary projects˙
  • Ensure proactive project planning, stakeholder and risk management takes place across projects˙
  • Support the team to identify, assess and manage major project risks and secure the best commercial return from the projects in their portfolio˙
  • Accountable for the completion of monthly management project reports to be issued by set deadline.˙
Technical
  • Keep up to date with industry developments with respect to own discipline, other disciplines and engineering innovations and developments on a global scale˙
  • Contribute to and lead technical solutions on projects˙
  • Drive innovation and utilise technological advancement.˙
