Duties and Responsibilities of an Accountant:

Financial Statement Preparation and Analysis.
Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements
Budgeting and Forecasting.
Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings
Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
Ensure timely bank payments
Tax Planning and Compliance.
Internal controls and risk management.
To keep track of the organizations financial operations.
Responsible for maintaining financial accountability.
Provide reports to management and investigate financial discrepancies.
Report on the company?s financial health and liquidity
Audit financial transactions and documents.
Documenting financial transactions, records, and buying and selling operations
Preparing the necessary reports, lists, financial tables, and accounting books on a regular basis
Maintain backup copies of financial records.
Preparing the trial balance every month
Preparing and supervising accounting books
Providing financial information to relevant officials
Monitor and review accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness.
Provide assistance with balance sheets, tax calculations, and financial statement information.
Handle the annual external audit responsibilities of the company.
Formulate general ledger and closing reports by imputing in-depth details of the firms transactions.
Follow standard business and finance protocols to disclose the organizations financial reports regularly.
Comply with financial policies and regulations.
