Job Description

Company Profile:Our client is a leading international engineering practice in Qatar, offering services in architecture, interior design, master planning, landscape, urban design and building consultancy within Asia & Middle East.They are currently looking to recruita Senior Commercial Manager to be based in Qatar.Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Take responsibility for the commercial performance of all projects
  • Develop commercial strategies and lead on contractual negotiations
  • Ensure all projects are delivered in accordance with the contract
  • Provide accurate cost advice and financial reporting to the client
  • Deputise on all matters of a commercial and technical nature for the Head of Design, Delivery & Commercial as determined
  • Deliver work outputs within client led targets and time frames
  • Constructively challenge processes and management decisions to bring about service improvements
  • Clearly articulate project needs on a scheme by scheme basis
  • Pro-actively contribute to value management and value engineering studies at project and programme level Where the postholder is disabled, every effort will be made to supply all necessary aids, adaptations or equipment to allow them to carry out all the duties of the job. If, however, a certain task proves to be unachievable, job redesign will be given full consideration.
  • Maintain an awareness and observation of Fire and Health & Safety Regulations and good practice requirements throughout the company.

  • To carry out any other duties within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job as requested by management asduties and responsibilities change, the job description will be reviewed
  • Take personal responsibility for minimising Northwards impact on the environment by supporting our green agenda.
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Minimum of 15 years post graduate experience.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with roads, aviation, structures or rail related experience.
  • Professionally qualified in MRICS or equivalent is preferable.
  • Must be currently in Qatar.
  • Demonstrable track record in the delivery of large multidisciplinary projects.
  • University degree from a recognised university in an appropriate field such as Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Construction Management or equivalent
