Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Procurement and Logistics Officer to join our team in Doha, Qatar. As a Procurement and Logistics Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the procurement process and ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of goods and services. You will work closely with suppliers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to source and purchase materials, negotiate contracts, and manage inventory. Your strong analytical skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously will be crucial in this role.Responsibilities:

  1. Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including sourcing, purchasing, and contract negotiation.
  2. Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate terms and conditions, and maintain supplier relationships.
  3. Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize costs and quality.
  4. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as local and international regulations.
  5. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  6. Analyze market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement logistics strategies.
  8. Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other logistics service providers to ensure smooth import/export operations.
  9. Manage the documentation and record-keeping related to procurement and logistics activities.
  10. Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in procurement and logistics.
Preferred Candidate:
  1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement and logistics, preferably in the same industry.
  2. Bachelors degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field.
  3. Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contract negotiation, and supplier management.
  4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  5. Proficient in using procurement and inventory management software.
  6. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  7. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  8. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  9. Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
  10. Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
