Job Description

As an Oracle DBA specializing in EBS R12 at Arab Solutions, you will play a critical role in managing and optimizing Oracle databases, ensuring the reliability and performance of E-Business Suite solutions for our government client in Qatar.Responsibilities

  • Oracle Database Administration: Perform day-to-day management and administration of Oracle databases supporting E-Business Suite R12.
  • Performance Tuning: Monitor and optimize database performance, ensuring high availability and responsiveness for the government organization.
  • Backup and Recovery: Develop and implement robust backup and recovery strategies for Oracle databases supporting EBS R12.
  • Patch Management: Apply and manage Oracle patches and updates to ensure the security and stability of the database environment.
  • Database Security: Implement and maintain database security measures, ensuring compliance with government standards and regulations.
  • Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve database-related issues, working closely with technical and functional teams.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate database solutions into the overall IT architecture.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Oracle Database Administration.
  • Proven expertise in Oracle E-Business Suite R12 database administration.
  • Experience with Oracle RDBMS, Oracle RAC, and Oracle Data Guard.
  • Strong understanding of database performance tuning and optimization.
  • Knowledge of backup and recovery strategies, patch management, and database security.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Advantageous Qualifications
  • Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification.
  • Experience working with government organizations.
  • Familiarity with government-specific data security and compliance requirements.
