Job Description

FINANCIAL and SALES DIMENSIONS:? Achieves Business Plan for the year as established. Revenue and Overheads Budgets.? Follows up with accounts dept for the supplier payments.? Responsible for authorizing expenses and petty cash statements of the concerned site.? Follows up sales activities with customers and salesmen and visiting potential customers as required.? Makes sure that sales activities are according to sales projections and expectations. ? Receives sales order from salesmen and coordinates with transport department for orders and delivery.SITE MANAGEMENT:? Operates Al Manaratain Saudi site as a Profit Center Head.? Draws up a weekly production plan in conjunction with the sales plan and is responsible for implementing and achieving the agreed production plan in terms of Product, Quality and Quantity.? Confers with production and administrative personnel and reviews production and operating activity to determine changes in programs or operations if required.? Identifies and evaluates products and product lines thereof to ensure business synergy and compatibility with the company?s businesses.? Coordinates activities of divisions or departments i.e. operating, manufacturing, engineering, planning, sales, maintenance, quality control, recruitment, etc to reach operational efficiency, economy, and increased productivity.? Reviews operating results of the site , compares them to established objectives and takes steps to ensure that appropriate measures are taken to correct unsatisfactory results and identifies areas in which cost reduction can be made.? Ensures that the respective project activities and operations are carried out in compliance with local regulations and laws governing business operations.? Overseas maintenance of plant building and coordinates maintenance schedules for equipment and machinery.? Manages maintenance of stock control records and information such as consumption rate, characteristics of items in storage, and current market conditions to determine stock supply and need for replenishment.? Manages preparation of requisition orders for indenting of stock.? Establishes operational procedures for activities including verification of incoming and outgoing materials, handling and disposition of materials and keeping the factory inventory updates.? Receives and checks daily stock (raw material and final product) report (checking with yard foreman at site).? Plans layout of the factory and storage areas, considering turnover, size, weight and related factor of items stored.? Initiates the purchasing of equipment, material, supplies and tools at or below budgeted limits. ? Makes arrangements for maintaining the files and records of the site or department in a manner that ensures their proper order and easy retrieval and confidentiality.? Checks on daily basis with supervisors for attendance, daily production and requirement of spare parts for maintenance and repairing.? Follows up the delivery of raw materials to the factory.? Follows up daily testing results for the finished products and raw materials with the quality control staff.? Carries out trial mixes for the production process.? Follows up with Governmental parties for approval of any new product.? Follows up with the suppliers (local and overseas) for the raw material, spare parts and lab equipment.? Responsible for all safety issues and welfare of employees in the respective site including labour camp. Coordinates with the safety manager in enhancing safety awareness to employees through adequate training, lectures, toolbox talks, brochures and other related inputs.? Prepare accident reports (in case of accident) and doing necessary investigations in coordination with safety manager.? Follows up any breakdown of machines or plants and take necessary action to rectify the problem at the earliest.? Does all the calculation for the cost of product.? Ensures the follow up of maintenance plan for all plants and machinery under his responsibility .? Shall be knowledgeable of company?s internal procedures and policies.? Maintains good housekeeping standards.? Attends exhibitions and conferences relating to the job (when requested for that).MAN MANAGEMENT:? Manages all production personnel of the site including selection, hiring (in coordination with HR dept).? Oversees induction of news recruits on their job, planning, assigning and directing work to direct subordinates, appraising performance, rewarding , motivating and disciplining employees, addressing grievances, complaints and resolving problems.? Ensures that responsibilities, authorities and accountability of all direct subordinates are defined and understood.? Responsible for day to day man management of all personnel deployed at site.? Responsible for authorizing and scheduling of leave for his subordinates, and solving operational problems with concerned functional heads and coordinating with HR department for the job rotation or substitution of absent employees.? Identifies recruitment and training needs and coordinates with HR dept. for the same.? Effectively utilizes each team member to their fullest potential.MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM:? Ensures timely release of production, raw material, inventory and other periodic reports.? Acts as a focal point for all computer related activities, coordinating with the IT Manager for evaluation of hardware and software requirement.? With the assistance of the General Manager ? Finance & accounts, develops new systems and examine efficiency improvement methods.? Evaluates the results of the overall Al Manaratain Saudi operations and systematically reports to Company General Manager.INTERNAL CONTROL & CUSTOMER SERVICE:? Continuously reviews internal controls and ensures that all activities are properly recorded, authorized and validated in accordance with company?s policies and procedures in a prompt and accurate manner.? Coordinates with the sales department to solve customer problems by taking corrective action.BUSINESS EXPANSION:? Identifies and evaluates business expansion opportunities in new technologies which can be absorbed within the existing Al Manaratain Structure or can be managed through a new or acquired separate business to form a synergistic part of Al Manaratain.? Carries out feasibility study and projection of profit and loss analysis for seeking management approval for expansion, new products lines, purchase of new machinery and other business opportunities.? Executes new project work, plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirement.
