We are currently recruiting for a Buyer to join our team at Sparrows in Saudi Arabia. The primary responsibility of the role is to evaluate materials and service requests and undertake purchasing activities in accordance with company procedures and processes.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:? Undertake purchasing activities for the allocated purchasing commodities.? Liaise and communicate with internal and external agencies for requirement specifications, lead times, RFQs, approvals, and deliveries.? Ensure all purchase requisitions and orders are processed in accordance with company?s approval authority and procedures.? Liaise and coordinate with vendors and other parties for pricing, delivery and invoice deficiencies and achieve corrective actions.? Assist and guide team members and other people in the company to achieve compliance for purchasing activities. ? Stand-in for other team members duties when requested.? Undertake necessary expediting activities, and update and maintain correct and latest information in the Purchase to Pay (P2P) system.CANDIDATE PROFILE:? Previous experience of purchasing activities? Good knowledge of basic purchasing techniques ? Experience and understanding of ERP systems ? College degree or equivalent work experience ? Ability to act proactively and prioritise work with limited supervision? Good IT skills in MS Excel, Word and Power PointHSEQ RESPONSIBILITIES:? It is mandatory that the incumbent is familiar with, understands and complies with the Company's Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Management System (SIMS) taking an active part in its continuous improvement, when the opportunity arises? The incumbent also has legal responsibilities under country-specific health and safety legislation to follow all Company policies, procedures, guidelines, signage and permit conditions? The incumbent shall be familiar with the Company?s, Emergency Fire and Evacuation procedures and know what action to take in an emergency. ? The incumbent must be familiar with, understand and adhere to Sparrows Life-Saving Rules? The incumbent must report any incidents, near misses, actual or potential problems with products, services or systems in accordance with Company?s reporting requirements? The incumbent is also responsible for the health and safety arrangements of subordinates (if any), sub-contractors under their control and for any persons visiting them while on Company premises
