Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Hydraulic Technician to join our team in Saudi Arabia.Main responsibilities? Work closely with Mechanical Supervisor, to plan daily activities, set job priorities and assign work to contract crane mechanics, mechanical assistants.? Monitor job progress, provide technical assistance, guidance and instruction to the work group. ? Respond to requests from crews in the field for parts, materials, transportation and assistance. ? Provide hands on assistance as required, performing all aspects of crane maintenance ? major component replacement, repair and overhaul including booms, engines, winches, cabs, blocks, sheaves and ropes.? Maintain, schedule and ensure thoroughness of the crane preventative maintenance and inspection program. ? Co-ordinate and schedule load testing and annual inspections of cranes. ? Develop, maintain and monitor a comprehensive database on crane and lifting equipment inspections and inventory.? Investigate root cause of recurrent failures and recommend corrective action to be taken. Review work methods, processes and procedures to increase reliability and efficiency of crane operations and reduce maintenance costs. Provide technical support to others in design, specification and commissioning of new cranes. Participate in PIT?s and weekly Department planning meetings.? Monitor crane spare parts inventory and make recommendations on optimization of stock levels. ? Maintain quality of safety in the crane group and participate in facility safety reviews.? Ready to work in any condition and role as per company requirement.Qualifications & Experience ? Recognised trade apprenticeship in mechanical engineering, qualified to NVQ Level 3.? Experience in the completion of planned maintenance activities on offshore pedestal, mobile & crawler cranes.? Experience in the completion of diagnostic trouble shooting & fault finding, including repair, of offshore pedestal, mobile & crawler cranes.
