Job Knowledge / Education and Qualifications / Person Attributes ?Basic understanding of Machine shop safety rules and safe operating procedures.?Technical education related to machining or comparable work experience showing progressive knowledge gain in machining field. ?Minimum 5 years of experience in the setting and operation of CNC Horizontal Big bore lathe.?Working experience on API products machining, API thread/Connection cutting.?Good understanding of Thread/Connection parameters and inspection points.?Experience on Premium connections like VAM, NewVAM,Tenaris, Hydril, GP connection is preferred. ?Ability to interpret engineering drawing to find out required dimension, surface finish and understands dimensional and geometrical tolerance. ?Experience on measuring equipment used in machine shop, (Micrometer/Vernier/Depth gauge/Bore gauge/Inside caliper/Thread gauge etc..)?Ability to read and write basic reports and instructions written in English language.?Familiar with cutting methods, machining operations and cutting parameter used on CNC machine.?Understanding of cutting tools and inserts?Basic understanding of CNC programs to perform editing.
