Job Description

PURPOSEThe Mechanical Integrity Specialist provides global support for mechanical integrity and risk based inspection through the Maintenance Technology Center. The specialist is trained and knowledgeable in RBI software, risk-based inspection principles, inspection codes and practices and basic corrosion principles.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:?Provides technical support for multiple plants as an Inspection Risk Analyst. The analyst role utilizes Meridium or RBMI software to oversee and manage the risk based inspection program. Duties include:o Develops inspection schedule and plans o Interfaces with plant MI Coordinator(s) to ensure timely completion and documentation of required inspectionso Reviews inspection data and updates risk calculations after inspections are completed?Ensures non-conformance reports (NCR) are created and tracked to completion for inspection findings and deficiencieso Provides for and/or performs fitness for service evaluations on equipment deficiencieso Provides End-of-Life equipment replacement recommendations to plant or business capital portfolio management teams.o Assists with inspection and repair deferralso Prepares and leads revalidation of the corrosion study due to process changes, equipment changes or passage of time.?Assists or manages new implementations of RBI. Duties include:o Oversee/manage equipment and process data collection from electronic or paper files into an import spreadsheeto Prepare data for corrosion study using PFD, equipment and process data (organize data and set up visualization software)o Lead or assist in facilitation of corrosion study o Perform or oversee quality control checks of data to ensure accurate, efficient data import into RBI softwareo Run and review initial risk calculationso Develop inspection plans and review with plant personnelo Assist with training plant personnel to run and maintain the program?Provides consultations for mechanical integrity compliance or inspection technology?Participates/Leads corporate mechanical integrity audits or assessments
