Day to day contact with Head Office in Marseille on sales aspects of Reefer shipments
To identify Reefer Cargo specific seasons and customers involved to ensure we are in contact with them to maximize our liftings during these periods
To produce weekly/monthly market reports for specific trade areas
To produce weekly business plans and compare against vessel profiles
To make proactive tele sales calls based on quote log and updating quote log/CRM accordingly
To carry out all aspects of Sales, with particular emphasis on Inside Sales and Quoting
To make sure that the customers are aware of all charges and all chargeable events are notified and freighted
To issue to all internal and external sales staff all freight tariffs / rate sheets / surcharges and amendments as guided by Head Office and/or the Trade Manager
To convey significant changes in any of the above (e.g. ocean rates, caf, baf, war risk, haulage, transit times, service changes) to our UK customers
Liaison between customers, the outside sales teams and HO on negotiation of freight rates. This also involves timely handling of all inward emails, sales leads, progress chasing
To assist in targeting and planning outside sales calls
To assist the Supervisor in preparation of monthly report and market analysis
To ensure that accurate commodity information is supplied to Marseille in order for the shipment to be quoted correctly (pharma procedure ? cargo name, value, temp range etc)
