Job Description

5+ years in a BI Developer role, preferably within the insurance sector or a data-rich environment.Technical Skills:?Expertise in developing, deploying, and maintaining BI solutions using Power BI and/or Oracle BI.?Advanced proficiency in creating complex reports, dashboards, and data visualizations.?Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL processes.?Ability to integrate various data sources and maintain data integrity.?Proficiency in SQL for querying and manipulating data.?Experience in optimizing BI tools and dashboards for performance.?Knowledge of DAX and MDX for creating calculations and measures in BI tools.Visualization and Analysis:?Experience in Infographics and Data Storytelling.?Create dynamic, interactive, and static data visualizations using various tools and programming languages such as Microsoft Power BI.?Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and subject matter experts to understand the data and the insights that need to be conveyed through visualizations.?Develop visually engaging and user-friendly data visualizations that are tailored to the target audience and objectives.?Choose appropriate data visualization tools and technologies based on the nature of the data and the desired output (e.g., charts, graphs, dashboards).?Clean, preprocess, and format data to make it suitable for visualization, including data analysis, cleaning, transformation, and integration.?Implement interactive features in visualizations, allowing users to explore data, filter information, and gain deeper insights.?Optimize data visualizations for performance, responsiveness, and scalability, especially when dealing with large datasets.?Document the data visualization process, including data sources, methodologies, design decisions, and best practices.Additional Skills:?Good presentation skills in preparing work to be presented to C-Level Management in a well-appeared format.Additional Qualifications:?Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred.?Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.?Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.?A proactive attitude towards learning and staying updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
