Managing the day-to-day operations of one or more of the three sub departments: Products, Pricing and Portfolio Analysis, Risk and Reinsurance, and Central Actuarial.

Managing relationships with other departments
Provide support to all functions within the company, relating to their sub-departments roles and responsibilities.
Manage actuarial relationships directly with external parties such as, but not limited to, reinsurers, EFSA and the companys auditors.
Ensure the relevant sub-department abides by all policies and procedures approved by the Board of Directors.
Ensure sub-departments compliance to all rules and regulations
Ensuring that all necessary policies and procedure documentation is in place and regularly reviewed.
Chair and participate in company management committees as stipulated in the sub-department roles and responsibilities.
Recruit, manage, coach and develop an Actuarial sub-department team so that they can meet their job accountabilities.
Undertake performance appraisals for all members in the sub department.
Assist the Chief Actuary with all strategic objectives of the department.
Act as a deputy to the Actuarial Director.
