Job Description

A reputable company located in Beirut is seeking to recruit a Senior Accountant.Main Duties:

  • Accounting Function Management: establish and maintain policies and procedures, monitor and manage journal entries, checks, and payments, handle team issues, implement process improvements, and develop employee skills.
  • Fixed Assets: establish and maintain policies and procedures, manage asset records, calculate depreciation, and manage transfers, disposals, acquisitions, capitalizations, and repairs.
  • Accounts Payable: analyze and reconcile accounts, process payments, manage invoices, and handle freight and customs payments.
  • Accounts Receivable: record and review payments, prepare balance statements, and manage outstanding invoices.
  • Analyze & Reconcile Accounts: establish and maintain policies and procedures, manage bank and vendor reconciliations, and reconcile fixed asset registers with the general ledger.
  • Period-End Closing & Financial Consolidation: establish and maintain regulatory reporting policies and procedures, manage closing and consolidation, and review fixed asset reports.
  • Bank & Cash Management: monitor daily cash movements, maturity tables, and banks interest and commission, and manage bank correspondences.
  • Intercompany Management: establish and maintain policies and procedures, monitor payables and transactions, and manage related documentation.
  • Audit & QA: prepare regulatory reports, perform quality assurance, and coordinate with auditors.
  • Maintain Accounting Master Data: establish and maintain policies and procedures, manage vendor and customer master data, and maintain accounting data.
  • Taxation: manage tax planning strategy, review tax analysis, and monitor tax payments.
