Job Description

Toters is an on-demand last-mile delivery service that enables customers to browse products offered by their favorite local stores, and place orders to have them delivered on-demand through a mobile application. Initially, Toters plans on addressing the restaurant and grocery markets.We have launched operations in Lebanon and Iraq, and plan to continue expanding throughout other cities in the Middle East. If you are interested in working in a high growth startup environment, and look to be part of a team that will potentially change the way customers shop in the Middle East, apply now. ROLEToters is seeking a Senior Accountant for its Office in Beirut. The  Senior Accountant will be responsible for providing financial information by maintaining and reconciling accounts and preparing reports. Other duties include, but are not limited to:RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Keep track of accounts payable and receivable
  • Investigate and resolve all incoming inquiries from merchant partners regarding all accounting matters
  • Prepare the income statement and cash flow statement for toters Lebanon on a monthly basis
  • Responsible of VAT and all tax related issues
  • Approve or seek approval for new expenses and control against budgetLabel deliveries and allocate them to their designated place
  • Maintain accurate records and assist in inventory control
  • Receive goods and sign paperwork upon receipt
  • Inspect contents to ensure they are undamaged
  • Contact supplier if a mistake is identified
  • Assume responsibility for returning unsatisfactory shipments or receiving replacements
  • Ensure invoices are signed and paid for satisfactory deliveries
  • Prepare ad-hoc performance reports on KPIs, financials and operational metrics
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor degree from a reputable university with a good understanding of accounting principles through education or work experience
  • 7 plus years of experience is required for this job 
  • Understanding of IFRS accounting principles (working knowledge is an asset)
  • Trustworthy with a strong sense of responsibility and ownership
  • Strong MS Excel skills, or basic skills with the ability to learn and develop
  • Positive personality that contributes to an overall high energy work culture
  • Eager to learn and develop oneself
  • Ability to wear multiple hats and act as a business owner
