Essential FunctionsúÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿSolicit new and existing accounts to meet/exceed revenue goals through telephoneÿÿsolicitation, outside sales calls, site inspections and written communication.úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿPrepare correspondence to customers, internal booking reports and file maintenance.úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿParticipate in daily RevMax meeting, pre-convention meetings, training and other sales-related meetings as required.úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿWork with other departments within the hotel to provide quality service to customers.úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿDevelop/maintain knowledge of market trends, competition and customers.Supportive FunctionsIn addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the manager based upon the particular requirements of the hotel:úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿProfessionally represent the hotel in community and industry organizations and events.úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿParticipate as team player with all departments.úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿAssist with reports and/or competition data collection.úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿManage a determined number of Key Accounts, Key Prospects and Other Active Files.úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿInitiate action plans for developing Key Prospects andÿnew business opportunities.úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿTo develop action plans for achievement of room night and average rate goalsúÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿWithin established parameters, quote and negotiate prices with customers and customer representatives, and draw up contracts to close the transactionúÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿFollow up with appropriate hotels and departments to ensure delivery of excellent guest service as appropriateúÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿCarry out focused and innovate promotional activity e.g. fam trips, educational site inspections, mailings and incentivesúÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿParticipate in sales blitzes, trade shows, workshops and sales trips as appropriate
