Job Description

As an Export Sales Manager, you will be responsible for the sale of customizable packaging products for Horepas manufacturing lines of production to customers in other countries. Youll build up and maintain good relationships with customers, agents and distributors as well to hold a good standard of negotiation in order to close and secure sales.As an Export Sales Manager, you will also:

  • Provide estimate of prices
  • agree contracts
  • attend trade fairs
  • deal with a daily basis of follow up requirements
You will need to develop knowledge of the cultural and business background of the countries you are responsible for, together with an understanding of consumer taste, which youll combine with the result of your market research to underline what will sell in these countries and how to sell it. Looking for and understanding sale opportunities is a must.You might also have to decide whether the product can be modified to meet the customers requirements or whether special discounts can be offered. This is usually done after consultation with the manufacturing team and Product managers.Youll also have to consider and comply with legal and ethical restrictions on international trading. All required knowledge will be provided by Horepas Shipping partner, however pre-hand homework is always appreciated.Youll must carefully monitor the processing of orders and check that the distribution is running smoothly and that everything is on schedule. follow up upon product delivery is always a must for feedback and further sales discussion.Other duties involve producing marketing plans, budgets and sales reports for discussion with CEO. You might organize sales briefings and conference as well for the possibility of attending international trade fairs.
