Job Description

The Research Associate is an ambitious, passionate, methodological, and perseverant individual, who deeply cares about high quality research, data integrity, and ethical decision-making in the Middle East. This team member has a minimum of seven years of research experience in collecting, studying, and analyzing data, as well as at least two years of managing research fieldwork and teams. With the objective of building valuable information power, this individual will help design, administer, and deliver research to national and international stakeholders, including communities, clients, government, academia, and society-at-large. This thoughtful team member will also help champion a team of research analysts to collectively deliver with excellence. She / he will be working on a full-time basis and will be working on a variety of projects and missions run by The Zovighian Partnership. The successful candidate would need to be in a position to begin by no later than February 1, 2022.?Working hours are generally on Mondays-Fridays from 9:00-18:00 when in Lebanon, with the flexibility to travel on a semi-frequent basis, especially to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.?Key responsibilities

  • Actively support the management of research missions commissioned by The Zovighian Partnership (ZP) clients and the ZP Public Office, including coordinating participant engagement, data collection, data analysis, as well as planning and reporting
  • Manage quality control of key steps and aspects of research missions, especially data validity, data integrity, stress-testing robustness of data collected and analysis, further stress-testing soundness of key findings
  • Help address and problem-solve challenges, inefficiencies, and unforeseen developments in research missions to preserve research integrity, protect research participants and stakeholders, and safeguard ethical pledges
  • Deliver strategic documentation for key stakeholders, including fieldwork briefs, research memos, stakeholder letters / correspondences, and?papers /?presentations of key findings and recommended action plans
  • Actively contribute to proposal development for research commissions, including scoping and drafting, literature review, team and resource allocations, scheduling and planning, and documentation submissions
  • Support research team learning journeys, including organizing team training workshops with experts, managing new inputs and integrations into the ZP Research Handbook, and keeping research team training documentation and collateral up to date
  • Stay regularly updated on new research design methodologies and contributions to global literature, including collecting and sharing new publications with the team, attending webinars and taking notes for further team deliberations
