About Anghami Anghami plays a major role in elevating the value of the music industry, flipping the funnel from a declining revenue market to a fast-growing market that has shifted from a content owned (downloaded and purchased) to a content streamed industry, driven by its mission to scale access to legal music where artists are remunerated with 50% of their stream revenues.Job Title: Metadata EditorLocation: Beirut, LebanonPurpose: As part of our Content Operations team, you will help improving Anghami users experience by making it easy for them to search for Arabic songs, using Latin and Arabic letters. You will also help improving suggested songs and creating harmonious playlists.Responsibilities/About The Role:

  • Managing different Arabic music catalogs in terms of metadata
  • Editing songs by adding Arabic names to help users in the region to easily find them
  • Assigning the appropriate genre to songs following our genre structure, to recommend songs in the right queues
  • Updating lists of similar artists, to enhance recommendations of songs and artists
  • Handling other tasks in Metadata Quality management, involving metadata of artists, songs, and albums
  • Providing other metadata, such as lyrics and song credits
Requirements/About you:
  • A strong understanding and passion for Arabic Music in its different genres and audiences
  • Bachelor degree and 1-3 years of experiences in related fields
  • Understanding in the digital music industry
  • Speedy Arabic typing
  • Advanced/Intermediate Excel skills and ease of using spreadsheets
  • SQL knowledge is a plus
  • Working experience in the music industry or entertainment industry is a plus
  • Previous experience in working with CMS is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Strong time management and ability to operate under a heavy workload
  • Ability to drive your own work independently and as part of a team
