A reputable University located in Beirut is seeking to recruit a Linux Systems Engineer.Main Duties:

Manage day to day operations of computing environment by monitoring system performance, configuration, maintenance and repair, while ensuring that records of system maintenance and assets inventory are properly maintained and updated.
Develop new system and application implementation plans, custom scripts, and testing procedures to ensure operational reliability.
Train technical staff on how to use a new software and hardware.
Perform troubleshooting as required, while providing problem-solving efforts between vendors and other support personnel and/or other units.
Establish, maintain, and manage users/groups objects on Linux/Windows.
Install, modify, and maintain systems and utility software on server computer systems.
Provide server support related to other software.
Establish guidelines and methods for the installation and management of the host computer operating systems, disk arrays, tape libraries, and other components.
Ensure high availability and acceptable levels of performance of mission critical host computer resources.
Develop procedures to maintain security and protect systems from unauthorized use, acts of nature, and user abuse.
