Job Description

A reputable company located in Beirut is seeking to recruit a Junior Accountant.Main Duties:

  • General Accounting: Implement journal entry policies, prepare and file journal voucher and post journal entries, issue checks and payment vouchers, and maintain documentation.
  • Fixed Assets: Implement fixed asset policies and procedures, calculate and record depreciation, process and record asset transfers, disposal, acquisition, capitalization, enhancement, adjustment, and repair expenses.
  • Account Payable: Record and process payments, open LCs, process inbound/outbound invoices, credits, billings, settlements, statements, freight and customs payments, and vendor down payments/prepayments.
  • Receivable: Record and process customer payments, print customers balances, record and process all expense payments and deposits to banks.
  • Analyze & Reconcile Accounts: Implement reconciliation policies, perform bank, customer, and vendor accounts reconciliations, reconcile fixed assets register with G/L, perform vendor statement and tax account reconciliations.
  • Close Books & Consolidate Financial Results: Implement regulatory reporting policies, close books, execute period-end accounting entries, and consolidate financial results, prepare period end fixed asset reports.
  • Bank & Cash Management: Check daily cash movement, calculate banks interest and commission, issue banks letters and correspondences.
  • Intercompany: Implement intercompany accounting policies, prepare a table of maturity, trial balance, statement of account for sister/daughter companies, generate intercompany transactions and balance data and related documentation.
