Job Description

A Money Transfer Company based in Beirut, is seeking to hire an IT Manager with previous experience in online money transfer software. The right candidate will be able to manage and maintain the Company?s technology related to the Mobile Money Industry. Which includes telecommunications, infrastructure and information security, network, firewalls, physical servers, virtualization, disaster recovery/BCP, redundancy and backups, and vendor relationships.Duties:?1.Participate with the General Manager in establishing specific goals for the department and implement strategies to achieve these goals.2.Manage and maintain the Company?s technology related to the Mobile Money Industry as illustrated by the following:a.Raise the operational plan proposal of programs, equipment, staff rehabilitation and planned cost so as to support the work of the employees and to achieve the financial and service objectives of the company.b.Raise the proposal for policies, controls and working mechanisms of the information service in terms of programs and employees.c.Research and evaluate new technologies related to the Mobile Money Industry; make upgrade recommendations to management as necessary.d.Preserve assets by developing and testing the Disaster Recovery Plan, Business Impact Analysis, Business Continuity Plan, as well as information security and control structures.e.Develop IT policies and procedures related to the Mobile Money Industry.f.Make recommendations on purchases for all workstations, printers, and other computer hardware and software.g.Install software upgrades and ensure that all operating systems are appropriately patched.h.Install, configure, and maintain the Company?s e-mail communication system, including administering user profiles, permissions and passwords, and ensuring uptime.3.Directly supervise assigned personnel as follows:a.Accomplish information technology staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and managing staff improvement plans; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies and procedures.b.Maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; maintaining a safe and secure work environment; developing personal growth opportunities.c.Organize, schedule, and distribute work among assigned personnel.d.Keep personnel informed of pertinent policies and procedures affecting the department and/or their jobs; create an atmosphere in which upward communication from employees is encouraged.e.Administer personnel policies and procedures as established by Company policy.f.Ensure that assigned staff maintains an active knowledge of product andservice offerings.4.Oversee the Core Report writing function providing management with useful and pertinent data.5.Maintain the Company?s Intranet, currently a SharePoint solution, and work with management to ensure it provides relevant information and a vehicle for departments to use in running their operations.6.Maintain an awareness of Company product and service offerings.7.Ensure the quality of new products and attain the required levels of regulatory requirements.8.Be responsible for product maintenance and enhancement to keep the company product range ahead of the competition and enhance the life of products.9.Work with different departments to guarantee their needs in hardware and software in order for them to achieve their goals.10.Cooperate in the adherence to internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management, safety and Companys compliance with all regulatory requirements.11.Communicate with the General Manager, other managers and supervisors, and appropriate staff personnel in order to integrate activities.12.Maintain professional and technical knowledge about the Mobile Money Industry by attending educational workshops, establishing personal networks and benchmarking state-of-the-art practices.
