National Programmes ManagerApplication Deadline:? 27th April 2021Notes: Candidates must have the right to live/work in Lebanon.?Position Overview: The successful candidate will support the strategic development of Malala Fund?s girls? education work in Lebanon, working closely with other Malala Fund staff. Work focuses on building a supportive environment in public schools and home communities for adolescent girls learning and online learning. In support of these directions the Representative will recruit and advise NGO and other partners on current work and lead the development of influencing strategies aimed at policies, networks and officials to advance Malala Fund?s goal of a full course of free, safe quality education for all girls. The Representative will monitor key Malala Fund projects and facilitate and grow a network of education advocates that expands opportunities for girls. They will bring the influence of this network to bear on the cause of girls? education and strengthen Malala Fund communications at national, as well as regional levels.I. Responsibilities and TasksStrategy Planning and Execution

  • Support the development of Malala Fund?s girls? education strategy for Lebanon.
  • Oversee national influencing plans and campaigns, aligning with wider Malala Fund influencing, campaigns and communications activities.
  • Identify strategic opportunities to partner with allies and influence national and regional decision makers, key networks and coalitions and other stakeholders. Advise on areas of geographic priority in-country.??
Partner Management
  • Serve as Malala Fund liaison to grantees and partners and at relevant events.
  • Convene and lead regular meetings and calls with grantees in-country.
  • Manage relationships with MEHE and INGOs.
  • Cultivate an informal national network to help identify competitive grantee candidates.
  • Support grantee participation at global events.
  • Coordinate organisations to provide grantees training or expertise on communications, media outreach and other areas.
?Grants Management
  • Assist potential grantee organisations to develop funding proposals that support Malala Fund strategic objectives.
  • Reporting to Malala Fund staff, support administration of grants, including reviewing and commenting on progress reports and ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Liaise regularly with grantees to monitor and report on activities and associated risks, including conducting periodic site visits.
Communications and Media
  • Help develop campaign narratives and strategies for media relations and supporter mobilisation, informed by influencing objectives.
  • Support the development of Malala Funds influencing strategy?
  • Support communications about Malala Fund work.
  • Provide regular updates about scheduled and actual grantee media presence.
