Job Description

Role SummaryThe Accounting Head of Section is responsible for managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department by ensuring proper delegation and organization of tasks, high team morale, legal compliance and internal control.?Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Monitor daily accounting entries and verify accounts payable/receivable, prepayments, accruals accounts, bank reconciliations and tax declarations.
  • Generate financial reports such as trial balance, balance sheet, P&L, VAT returns, BCC & BDL reports.
  • Mediate with vendors to resolve billing issues.
  • Negotiate with Banks the terms & conditions related to the company?s activities.
  • Follow up on client invoices / receivables.
  • Maintain Adherence to general accounting methods, policies and principles and ensure legal compliance.
  • Perform and oversee internal audits and facilitate external audits by providing necessary documentation.
  • Ensure that sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational and capital investment requirements.
  • Improve systems and procedures and?initiate?corrective actions.
  • Meet financial accounting objectives and KPIs.
  • Provide guidance to the accounting team in order to maximize work efficiency within team members.
