Control Engineer will lead in the functional design of all instrumentation projects; specify equipment; create and/or approve drawings; oversee project implementation, startup, documentation and training.
Provides technical expertise in the fields of instrumentation and control engineering, programmable logic controllers, human machine interfaces, Ethernet networks, fire alarm and evacuation systems, electronic instrumentation for temperature, level, differential pressure, pH, turbidity, etc; process controls for boilers, chillers, air compressors, liquid blending and water systems, HVAC systems.
Attends meetings and participates in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance.
Reviews electrical documents for areas of conflict with all disciplines.
Writes/edits I and C specifications, selects equipment, and monitoring/control devices.
Coordinates and assists, with affected disciplines, with any addendum, requests for information, change proposal requests and change orders and is responsible to incorporate agreed upon changes into the project documents.
May conduct QA/QC on the work of other I and C Project Engineers, I and C Project Coordinators or I and C Technicians.
Can work with minimum supervision.
Provides common administrative duties such as purchase supplies, ensure adequate inventory, plan budgets, prioritize purchases, prepare cost estimates and document their purchases and keep records of instrumentation and control operations and evaluating employees.
Performs other duties as assigned by his manager
