Job Description

Our client is an international company with Global Operations. They have their regional office for the Middle East and Africa in Lebanon- Beirut and are currently seeking to recruit a Controller and Accounting in Beirut.The Controller and Accounting will be responsible for performing professional accounting work involving compilation, consolidation, and analysis of financial data. May include any or all of the following: ledgers and preparation of journal entries; fixed asset or inventory accounting; preparation of trial balance or financial statements; cost accounting; bank account reconciliation.Representative Activities

  • Performs general or cost accounting activities requiring some insight into the why as well as the how.
  • Applies accounting techniques and standard practices to the classification and recording of financial transactions.
  • Specifics of the job content will vary from preparing journal entries, and checking supporting entries, to carrying out well-defined steps in cost accounting analysis.
  • Drafts segments of statements and reports.
  • Begins to handle assignments involving analysis of data.
  • Work is generally reviewed at completion for accuracy and soundness.
  • Assists the management team in monitoring the outcome of the strategy and its operational implementation
  • Participates in the definition of objectives and forecasts
  • Leads the budget process
  • Conducts financial and economic studies to anticipate results
  • Develops management procedures and tools
  • Provides reliable financial information
  • Assesses the gaps between the results and the objectives set and proposes actions to be implemented to remedy them
  • Contributes to the implementation of the action plan resulting from the internal control and risk management process
