A reputable University located in Beirut is seeking to recruit an Associate Comptroller.Main Duties:

Work with the Comptroller on the maintenance of the general ledger and the analyses of critical accounts to improve the quality of financial management reporting, including monthly and annual financial statements and reports.
Inspect and assess the adequacy of controls and provide guidance on the best practices to ensure the strengthening of internal controls over financial processes.
Assess financial risks in various areas and propose monitoring activities.
Perform comparative analytics to identify trends and assess the effects of certain decisions or events.
Work closely with managers of various departments at the Comptroller?s Office to ensure proper accounting methodology, techniques, and policies adopted by the university operations.
Review financial reports to be issued by various departments at the Comptroller?s Office before delivering it to the third party; while, at the same time establish an inventory list of reports by the department that will be used for the automation of reports and the build-up of data warehouse.
Sign, check, and authorize transfers.
Perform other related duties incidental to the work described.
