Job Description

Toters is an on-demand last-mile delivery service that enables customers to browse products offered by their favorite local stores, and place orders to have them delivered on-demand through a mobile application. Initially, Toters plans on addressing the restaurant and grocery markets.We have launched operations in Lebanon and Iraq, and plan to continue expanding throughout other cities in the Middle East. The Junior Accountant will be responsible for providing financial information by maintaining and reconciling accounts and preparing reports. Other duties include, but are not limited to:RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Handle day-to-day cash, consolidating cash collected from operations managers and couriers and depositing in the Toters bank account last
  • Keep account of daily operational expenses and cash flow position
  • Approve or seek approval for new expenses and control against budget
  • Handle courier payroll
  • Handle merchant invoicing and disbursement
  • Keep track of accounts payable and receivable
  • Investigate and resolve all incoming inquiries from merchant partners and customers regarding all accounting matters
  • Prepare ad-hoc performance reports on KPIs, financials and operational metricsQUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor degree from a reputable university with a good understanding of accounting principles through education or work experience
  • Understanding of IFRS accounting principles (working knowledge is an asset)
  • Trustworthy with a strong sense of responsibility and ownership
  • Strong MS Excel skills, or basic skills with the ability to learn and develop
  • Positive personality that contributes to an overall high energy work culture
  • Eager to learn and develop oneself
  • Ability to wear multiple hats and act as a business owner
