Job Description

úÿÿÿMaintains, repairs and installs plumbing and related fixtures and components.úÿÿÿRepairs piping of various size and typeúÿÿÿChecks safety equipment and replaces components such as washers, gaskets and filters.úÿÿÿInspects, repairs or replaces pumps, valves and boiler systems.úÿÿÿMonitors work done by outside contractors for adherence to Plumbing Code Requirements and reports back to supervisor.úÿÿÿInstall supports and hangers for pipe, fixtures and equipment.úÿÿÿAssemble and install valves and fittings.úÿÿÿInstall, repair and maintain water treatment equipment, piping and controls.úÿÿÿInstall, repair and maintain water heaters and conditioners.úÿÿÿInstall, repair and maintain plumbing fixtures, appliances and trim.úÿÿÿTest pipe systems and fixtures for leaks.úÿÿÿEnsure all installations, repairs and maintenance meet the requirements of the appropriate codes.úÿÿÿEnsure all installations, repairs and maintenance meet environmental protection requirements.úÿÿÿMaintains appropriate service and repair records.úÿÿÿResearches, purchases and inventories equipment parts and suppliesúÿÿÿPerforming other duties as directed
